About

About Gary Crause, formerly an IT specialist for IBM, now not only a Music Producer at Legend Music Recording Studio, but also a Songwriter with his own Band Recycler One

I have been writing and producing music for more than twenty years and whilst this is still my main passion guitar modification and customization has steadily crept in.

My love for electric guitars, Gibson Les Pauls,  Flying Vs and Ibanez Iceman in particular started me down a path of buying guitars, and later upgrading and modifying guitars.

After years of fixing, upgrading and modifying other people’s electric guitars I decided to build my son a guitar out of a kit that he had bought years earlier and discarded.

The body needed a lot of fixing and modification, and I wanted to convert the bolt-on neck to a set neck. Years earlier while in London, my son and I bought a bunch of ‘vintage’ metal signs that we were going to use to pretty-up a Thunderbird bass that he owns. Having never got around to either project, I used the signs on his Les Paul Junior styled build. The results were great, and everyone that came across the guitar loved it, which resulted in more builds and mods for my son, and well as some custom orders rolling in.

Disruptor Guitars was born. And I absolutely love every minute of doing them. Well except for the wiring. I bloody hate wiring!
